I love colors. They make life brighter. Pablo Picasso said, "Every child
is an artist. The problem is, how to remain an artist once he grows up".
When I was younger, I always loved to draw, but growing up, I forgot
about the artist in me. One day, I decided to look deep into my soul for
that forgotten artist... I easily found her, and she became my whole
being ever since. I am a 39 year old artist living in St. Paul, MN. I was
born and raised in a family that immigrated from India.

Back when I was a child, I often traveled alongside my father, who is a
Mechanical Engineering Professor at the University of Minnesota. My
mother owned a Health Food Store in St. Paul, MN. After high school, I
decided to go to nursing school, with the hopes of helping people in need.
But,unfortunately, my epilepsy prevented me from graduating in my final
year. After this, I received my Bachelors Degree in Business, but at the
time, I didn't realize that the corporate world did not suit me at all.

My main medium is oils on canvas, although I also work with acrylics
and other mediums, such as leafing and India Ink. I took an oil painting
class at my local Community Center and have been self taught ever
since. I have seriously been working on my art since 2003.
My work celebrates a boundless world of images and figures in soft
as well as strong tones. I needed to turn sadness into happiness and
replace anger with peace. My paintings express this passion and I try
to use techniques that are diverse as myself.
